Very expected game in Queretaro where 10th ranked Correcaminos (2-13) were defeated by sixth ranked Libertadores (8-7) 107-96 on Friday. Libertadores looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Spencer Williams (188-1995, college: Wooster) who scored 28 points and 7 assists. His fellow American import Vander Blue (196-1992, college: Marquette) chipped in 24 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Jordanian-American forward Cameron Forte (201-1993, college: Portland St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and Swiss point guard Jordan Stevens (182-1994, college: Midwestern St.) added 23 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Correcaminos' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Libertadores moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Mineros and Plateros. Loser Correcaminos stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Libertadores will meet league's leader Dorados in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Correcaminos will play against Halcones UV Xalapa (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
