Very important is a home loss of third ranked Guaros (11-14) against fourth ranked Heroes (11-14) on Sunday night. Host Guaros were defeated by Heroes in a tough game in Barquisimeto 89-96. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Guaros. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Kevin Nino (195-1991) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Forward Kelvin Caraballo (198-1988) accounted for 25 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Four Heroes players scored in double figures. Puerto Rican Alexander Abreu (179-1991, college: UWG) came up with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international swingman Jose Vargas (195-1982, agency: Pro Sports) added 21 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals respectively for Guaros in the defeat. Guaros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Heroes moved-up to third place, which they share with Guaros and Llaneros.
