Regular Season Round 36: Trotamundos - Centauros 77-71

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Centauros (18-5) in La Asuncion on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by Trotamundos (19-3) 77-71. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Centauros. Trotamundos dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Centauros' 28. It was a good game for the former international swingman Jhornan Zamora (196-1989) who led his team to a victory with 25 points. International center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Argentinian guard Juan Arengo (185-1996) replied with 19 points and naturalized Dominican Kelvin Pena (193-1980, college: Southeastern) added 14 points and 6 assists in the effort for Centauros. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trotamundos have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-3 record which they share with defeated Centauros. Centauros at the other side still keep top place with five games lost. They share the position with Gladiadores.
