Regular Season Round 36: Llaneros - Broncos 83-90

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Broncos (16-10) defeated 4th ranked Llaneros (11-15) in Caracas 90-83 on Tuesday. It was a great shooting night for Broncos especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. The winners were led by international point guard Garly Sojo (196-1999, agency: Pro Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and American Musa Abdul-Aleem (196-1988, college: Troy) supported him with 26 points. Even 36 points (!!!) and 6 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) by American point guard Marcus Thomas (191-1995, college: Rosemont) did not help to save the game for Llaneros. Center Carlos Rodriguez (206-1989) added 14 points and 15 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Broncos maintains second position with 16-10 record having just seven point less than leader Centauros. Loser Llaneros keep the fourth place with 15 games lost. Broncos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Caracas Brillantes.
