The game between closely ranked teams ended with first ranked Trotamundos' (19-3) home victory over second-best Broncos (16-10) in La Asuncion 81-65 on Wednesday. Trotamundos outrebounded Broncos 50-36 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American forward Dwayne Davis (196-1989, college: Southern Miss) who scored that evening 27 points and 5 rebounds and international center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville, agency: Pro Sports) supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds by international point guard Garly Sojo (196-1999, agency: Pro Sports) did not help to save the game for Broncos. Swingman Danny Arias (193-1997) added 9 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Trotamundos have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-3 record. Loser Broncos keep the second place with ten games lost. Trotamundos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
