Regular Season Round 10: Dorados - Libertadores 92-69
Date: September 15, 2022
LNBP top team - Dorados (12-5) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Libertadores (9-8) in Chihuahua 92-69. Dorados made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Libertadores' players. Argentinian point guard Juan Brussino (185-1991) notched 14 points and 8 assists to lead the effort and American Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) supported him with 20 points and 5 assists. Four Dorados players scored in double figures. Even 21 points by American guard Branden Frazier (191-1992, college: Fordham, agency: BeoBasket) did not help to save the game for Libertadores. His fellow American import forward Samuel Givens (197-1989, college: Drexel) added 11 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dorados have a solid four-game winning streak. Despite that victory Dorados went down to second position due to points difference. Loser Libertadores dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. Dorados will meet at home Halcones UV Xalapa (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Libertadores will play against Mineros (#6) in Zacatecas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
