Regular Season Round 10: Fuerza Regia - Soles 92-88

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Fuerza Regia (11-6) defeated 8th ranked Soles (6-11) in Monterrey 92-88 on Friday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Fuerza Regia looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American players dominated the game. Dominique Johnson (192-1987, college: Azusa Pacific) notched 31 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and guard Daniel Bejarano (193-1991, college: Colorado St.) supported him with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Fuerza Regia's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) by center Kavion Pippen (208-1996, college: SIU) did not help to save the game for Soles. Forward Nick King (201-1995, college: MTSU) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Fuerza Regia maintains third position with 11-6 record having just two points less than leader Astros. Soles lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost. Fuerza Regia will meet at home Plateros (#7) in the next round. Soles will play against Abejas and hope to secure a win.
