The most exciting game of round 6 in the Liga Femenina took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Malvin (3-3) to second ranked D.Sporting (5-1) 59-56 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Malvin. D.Sporting forced 20 Malvin turnovers. The best player for the winners was Argentinian guard Julieta Ale (176-1995) who scored 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Italian-Paraguayan swingman Paola Ferrari (178-1985, college: Union, TN) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian forward Carla Miculka (174-1993) who recorded 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Argentinian Maria Jourdheuil (180-1994) added 6 points and 13 rebounds respectively. D.Sporting have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 5-1 record behind leader Yale, which they share with Lagomar. Malvin at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Juventud. D.Sporting is looking forward to face league's leader Aguada on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Malvin's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena 25 de Agosto.
