Abejas (#5) were upset in Mexicali by eighth ranked Soles 91-87. The best player for the winners was American point guard Adonte Parker (186-1989, college: Dayton) who scored 23 points. His fellow American import forward Nick King (201-1995, college: MTSU) chipped in 18 points. Parker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American-Argentinian guard Erik Thomas (195-1995, college: New Orleans) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Wayne Langston (200-1993, college: Murray St.) added 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests.
