Third ranked host Mineras (4-4) smashed 4th placed Patriotas (1-7) 107-67. Mineras made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game, while Patriotas only scored ten points from the stripe. Mineras forced 27 Patriotas turnovers and outrebounded them 47-24 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Lilibeth Maramara (-1996) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Edicta Blanco (168-1994) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Four Mineras players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Ivonny Seijas (-2006) with 21 points and 4 steals and Mariangel Barrios (-2006) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds.
