Regular Season Round 2: Lobos - Atletico Nacional 76-97

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Lobos at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were rolled over by Atletico 97-76. Atletico forced 21 Lobos turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Jonathan King (193-1990, college: ACU) scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Joel Munoz (183-1980) chipped in 15 points and 6 steals during the contest. Five Atletico players scored in double figures. Costa Rican swingman Daniel Shedden (191-1996, college: MSUB) responded with 28 points and 5 rebounds and Costa Rican Victor Arias (197-1995) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Atletico are looking forward to face Centinelas in the next round where they are favorite. Lobos will play against Caballos in Aguadulce and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
