The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Argentinian Regatas (0-1) in Corrientes on Friday night. Hosts were rolled over by Brazilian Paschoalotto/Bauru (1-0) 88-52. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Paschoalotto/Bauru led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Paschoalotto/Bauru outrebounded Regatas 42-24 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Alex Garcia (190-1980, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Danilo Fuzaro (193-1994) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Paschoalotto/Bauru players scored in double figures. Paschoalotto/Bauru's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Alejandro Diez (201-1987) replied with 15 points and South Sudanese-American forward Mogga Lado (202-1995, college: Campbell) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Regatas. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Paschoalotto/Bauru maintains first position with 1-0 record, which they share with Obera. Regatas at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with Pichincha. Paschoalotto/Bauru is looking forward to face league's second-placed Obera on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Regatas will play against Pichincha and hope to get finally their first victory.
