A very close game took place in Las Piedras between Juventud and Urunday. Third ranked Juventud (5-3) got a very close home victory over 5th ranked Urunday (2-6). Juventud managed to escape with a 3-point win 51-48 in the fight for the third place. Juventud forced 32 Urunday turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Karina Acosta (-1986) who scored 23 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Forward Ivana Presa (-1986) chipped in 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Florencia Barbier (-2001) produced 9 points, 13 rebounds and 7 blocks and forward Sabrina Molina (-2001) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Juventud have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Juventud maintains third position with 5-3 record having just two points less than leader Yale, which they share with Malvin. Urunday lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with 25 de Agosto and Paysandu. Juventud will meet at home league's second-placed Lagomar in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Urunday's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Montevideo.
