Regular Season Round 9: Bucaros - Carrib.Storm 86-95

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Bucaramanga. Second ranked Storm faced 4th placed Bucaros. Guests from San Andres Island (5-3) defeated host Bucaros (2-6) 95-86. The best player for the winners was international Michaell Jackson (190-1987) who scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Panamanian Josimar Ayarza (205-1987, college: Southern Miss) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Five Storm players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Miguel Bermudez (195-1992) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Italian-Argentinian point guard Diego Gerbaudo (178-1989) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Storm have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 5-3 record having seven points less than leader Team Cali, which they share with Cimarrones. Bucaros lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with six games lost.
