Regular Season Round 25: Jaguares - Brumas 93-95

The most exciting game of round 25 in the LSB took place in Managua. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of their biggest opponent Jaguares (16-7) to third ranked Brumas (16-7) 95-93 in the game for the second place. Brumas outrebounded Jaguares 57-44 including 36 on the offensive glass. Dominican Xavier de la Rosa (196-1991) stepped up and scored 27 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and Dominican center Jose Familia (201-1998) chipped in 13 points and 17 rebounds. Brumas' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Byron Wesley (196-1992, college: Gonzaga) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican Wil Martinez (188-1992, college: Fairmont St.) scored 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Brumas and four Jaguares players scored in double figures. Brumas moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Jaguares.
