Everything went according to plan in Mercedes where Independ.O. edged Comunicaciones 74-71 on Friday. Strangely Comunicaciones outrebounded Independ.O. 42-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was power forward Fernando Martina (201-1981) who scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Salvador Giletto (195-1993) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Independ.O.'s coach Martin Gonzalez used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game.
