The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Jaguares (15-4) on the court of fourth ranked Tipitapa on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Tipitapa 89-85. They made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. Tipitapa forced 21 Jaguares turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Jaguares helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Clenia Salazar who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 52 points (!!!) and 22 rebounds. Shaneel Antonio helped adding 4 points and 5 rebounds. American center Khadija Brown (190, college: UAPB) responded with 30 points and 6 steals and Colombian center Narlyn Mosquera (197-1989) scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Tipitapa maintains fourth place with 9-10 record. Jaguares at the other side still keep top position with four games lost. They share it with Real Esteli.
