Very expected game in Mercedes where Comunicaciones (0-5) was defeated by Quimsa (1-3) 88-71 on Tuesday. Quimsa outrebounded Comunicaciones 37-24 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American Brandon Robinson (196-1989, college: Clayton St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Sebastian Acevedo (200-1990) helped adding 15 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Quimsa's coach Manuel Cordoba used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Carlos Buemo (194-1996, agency: BIG) with 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Luciano Guerra (184-1997) scored 11 points and 6 assists. Four Comunicaciones players scored in double figures. Quimsa will meet at home Riachuelo LR (#14) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Comunicaciones will play against Instituto (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
