There was no surprise in Quibdo-Choco where 5th ranked Sabios (1-13) were crushed by second ranked Cimarrones (11-3) 75-54 on Saturday. The game was dominated by American players. Akeem Ellis (196-1990, college: Coppin St., agency: BIG) stepped up and scored 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Lysander Bracey (193-1996, college: Hampton) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Cimarrones' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side point guard Nathan Bower-Malone (178-1997, college: Mt.Union) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and guard Mitchell Kirsch (193-1998, college: Babson) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Cimarrones. They used an opportunity after Team Cali lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Sabios lost their thirteenth game in a row. They keep the fifth place with 13 games lost.
