There was no surprise in Barranquilla where 3rd placed Bucaros (4-10) were defeated by leader Titanes (14-0) 78-69 on Saturday. Titanes outrebounded Bucaros 50-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. Dominican-Puerto Rican Jonathan Rodriguez (196-1987, college: Campbell) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds for the winners and the former international Tonny Trocha-Morelos (208-1994, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side Venezuelan swingman Kevin Nino (195-1991) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Miguel Bermudez (195-1992) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Bucaros players scored in double figures. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for Titanes. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-0 record. Bucaros lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the third position with ten games lost.
