Regular Season Round 13: Cimarrones - Sabios 94-54
Date: October 23, 2022
No shocking result in a game in Quibdo-Choco where second ranked Cimarrones (11-3) smashed 5th ranked Sabios (1-13) 94-54 on Sunday. They outrebounded Sabios 43-26 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Lysander Bracey (193-1996, college: Hampton) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners and forward Mateo Arboleda (185) chipped in 17 points. At the losing side center Ivan Villamoros (197-1994) responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds and forward Anthony Berroteran (-1992) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Cimarrones. They used an opportunity after Team Cali lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Sabios lost their thirteenth game in a row. They keep the fifth place with 13 games lost.
