The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Piratas as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Piratas smashed 4th ranked Condores in Bogota 119-92. 24 personal fouls committed by Condores helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Tristan Jarrett (193, college: Jackson St.) scored 36 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Sebastian Valencia (200-1997) chipped in 26 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Piratas players scored in double figures. Sudanese forward Thik Bol (203-1996, college: SIU) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 19 rebounds and American swingman Zecaree Veiga (193-1998, college: Daemen) scored 25 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Piratas (12-4) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Condores lost twelfth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Sabios.
