Regatas' fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they edged much higher ranked Obras (2-3) 68-66. Regatas well out of reach of Obras shooting 95.5 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Regatas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 90.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Charles Hinkle (198-1988, college: American) who helped to win the game recording 26 points (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Juan Arengo (185-1996) who added 17 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest.
