Regular Season Round 6: Del Progreso - Pico FC 101-86

Bottom-ranked Pico FC (0-3) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 101-86 loss to top-ranked Del Progreso (2-0) in General Roca on Friday evening. Del Progreso outrebounded Pico FC 38-27 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward Facundo Sanz (197-1996, agency: BIG) scored 24 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Julian Ruiz (185-1998) chipped in 13 points and 12 assists during the contest. Del Progreso's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Jarret Branch with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds and Felipe Bonfigli scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five Del Progreso and four Pico FC players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Del Progreso went down to sixth position due to points difference. Newly promoted Pico FC still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Villa S.Martin and Jachal. Del Progreso will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pico FC will play against Dep Viedma (#14) in Rio Negro and hopes to get finally their first victory.
