Regular Season Round 6: Olimpico - San Martin 74-70
Date: October 31, 2022
No shocking result in a game in La Banda where top-ranked Olimpico (5-0) defeated 6th ranked San Martin (3-2) 74-70 on Monday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Forward Patricio Tabarez (195-1991) scored 22 points to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Italian center Damian Tintorelli (205-1981) chipped in 9 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Olimpico's coach Leonardo Gutierrez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was international Javier Saiz (206-1994) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and the former international Matias Solanas (192-1998) scored 13 points and 5 assists. Four San Martin players scored in double figures. Olimpico have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 5-0 record having eleven points less than leader Instituto. Loser San Martin dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
