Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Salto: Salto Uru. (#3) and Nacional FC (#1). Nacional FC was defeated at home 90-94 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Nacional FC. Salto Uru. forced 23 Nacional FC turnovers. Swingman Agustin Britos (191-1997) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and Brazilian center Pedro Pecanha (206-1998) chipped in 18 points and 16 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Jeremy Ireland (200-1996, college: Elmhurst) with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Luca Cattani (188-1995) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Salto Uru. maintains third place with 6-3 record having just six point less than leader Nacional FC. Loser Nacional FC still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Ferro CS. Salto Uru.'s supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Salto to the arena Juventus.
