Regular Season Round 8: CAO Ceres - Independiente 86-80

CAO Ceres has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Independiente (1-5) 86-80. The winners were led by Pablo Martinez (197-1982) who scored that evening 29 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and point guard Facundo Gago (178-1996) supported him with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Four CAO Ceres players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 6 rebounds by swingman Daniel Tabbia (195-1993) did not help to save the game for Independiente. Guard Emiliano Correa (188-1991) added 15 points and 5 assists for the guests. CAO Ceres left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Independiente and Pilar. It was Independiente's fourth loss in a row. CAO Ceres will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Independiente will play against Montmartre (#8) to get more than just one victory in their record.
