Regular Season Round 10: Juventus - Salto Uru. 80-89
Date: November 3, 2022
Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Salto: Salto Uru. (#3) and Juventus (#4). Juventus were defeated at home 80-89 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Brazilian center Pedro Pecanha (206-1998) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and swingman Agustin Britos (191-1997) supported him with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Five Salto Uru. players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds by Colombian forward Diego Altamiranda (201-2001) did not help to save the game for Juventus. Point guard Bruno Bellacci (180-1999) added 23 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Salto Uru. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-3 record having just seven point less than leader Nacional FC. Loser Juventus keep the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Universitario.
