Regular Season Round 9: San Isidro - Salta Basket 95-66

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked San Isidro as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Zarate Basket) loss. San Isidro smashed 12th ranked Salta Basket in San Francisco 95-66. San Isidro made 18-of-18 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. San Isidro outrebounded Salta Basket 46-34 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Salta Basket's players. It was a good game for power forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-1997) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Federico Zezular (198-2001) contributed with 18 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four San Isidro players scored in double figures. San Isidro's coach Daniel Beltramo felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Nicolas Zurschmitten (183-1995) answered with 16 points and Brazilian center Adriano Alves (210-1995) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Salta Basket. San Isidro (6-1) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Salta Basket lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with five games lost. They share the position with Rocamora. Salta Basket will play next round against Villa S.Martin trying to get back on the winning streak. San Isidro will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Barrio Parque at Cordoba.
