There was a minor upset in Parana where higher ranked Echague (3-3) was edged by eleventh ranked Tucuman (3-3) 69-68 on Friday. Power forward Conrado Echevarria (195-1998, agency: BIG) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard Jose Muruaga (188-1984) chipped in 19 points. The best for the losing side was forward Augusto Bruera (196-1998, agency: BIG) with 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Federico Gonzalez (183-1988) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds.
