Argentina
Regular Season Round 8: Argentino - La Union 70-65
Date: November 4, 2022
Very predictable result in Junin where twelfth ranked Argentino (4-4) defeated 19th ranked La Union (1-8) 70-65. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The winners were led by Luis Colon who scored that evening 25 points and guard Augusto Gennero (188-2003) supported him with 22 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Even 16 points and 5 rebounds by swingman Jose Campoya (195-2002) did not help to save the game for La Union. Point guard Agustin Sigel (165-2002) added 19 points for the guests. Argentino moved-up to eighth place. La Union lost third consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with eight games lost. Argentino will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. La Union will play on the road against the league's second-placed Quimsa (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
