An interesting game for Cayenas (12-5) which played road game in against second-ranked Capitalinas (11-4). First ranked Cayenas managed to get a 12-point victory 69-57. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Cayenas looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international forward Ivaney Marquez (181-1983, college: Grayson County) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international Yosimar Corrales (184-1990) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Yolimar Martinez (184-1995) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds and forward Yulianny Perez (175-2001) added 10 points and 6 assists in the effort for Capitalinas. Capitalinas' coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Cayenas maintains first position with 12-5 record. Capitalinas at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the second place with four games lost.
