Regular Season Round 11: Jachal - Sarmiento R. 106-89

Jachal has finally registered their first victory this season after six consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Sarmiento R. (1-8) 106-89 on Monday. They outrebounded Sarmiento R. 46-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. Jachal looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was Ismael Sarruff (, agency: BIG) who scored 30 points and 6 assists. Power forward Nicolas Gimenez (203-1994) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Jachal's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Marquel Wiggins (201-1998, college: Dalton St.) produced a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and Andres Mariani (190-1987) added 33 points (!!!) respectively for the guests. Jachal (1-6) left bottom position moving up to sixteenth place, which they share with Pico FC. It was Sarmiento R.'s third loss in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventeenth position with eight games lost. Jachal will meet at home higher ranked CAO Ceres (#14) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sarmiento R. will have a break next round.
