Very significant was Halcones' (#1, 8-1) victory against 3rd placed Azucareros (7-4) 68-42. Halcones held Azucareros to an opponent 22.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.2 percent accuracy of the winners. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman Miguel Gonzalez (187-1990) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.
