Regular Season Round 9: Caballos - Lobos 87-67

An exciting game was played in Aguadulce. Third ranked Caballos faced second-best Lobos. Host Caballos (9-6) smashed guests from (9-6) 87-67. Caballos dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Lobos' 28. Caballos forced 21 Lobos turnovers and outrebounded them 47-33 including 35 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Carlos Rodriguez stepped up and scored 17 points and 6 assists for the winners and power forward Aldimir Castillo (203-2002) chipped in 11 points and 13 rebounds. Four Caballos players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Costa Rican swingman Daniel Shedden (191-1996, college: MSUB) with 24 points and 5 rebounds and Oscar Zephyrine (193-2000) scored 17 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Caballos have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Lobos.
