Regular Season Round 6: Malvin - Aguada 73-68

Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Montevideo: Malvin (#4) and Aguada (#5). Malvin (4-2) won against visiting Aguada (3-3) 73-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aguada. American swingman Anthony Hilliard (195-1986, college: ECSU) notched 23 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (201-1990, college: Murray St., agency: 011 Sports) supported him with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Even 7 points and 12 rebounds by Dominican center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Aguada. Center Theo Metzger (200-1999) added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Aguada's coach Leandro Ramella tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Malvin moved-up to third place, which they share with Trouville. Loser Aguada dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with L.Borges and Penarol. Malvin's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Bigua.
