The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Pacifico as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Pacifico edged 11th ranked Rocamora in Neuquen 59-56. Pacifico made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. Guard Valeria Fernandez (-1998) stepped up and scored 15 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners and guard Nadia Frete (173-1987) chipped in 7 points and 5 rebounds. Ines Fernandez responded with 19 points and Delfina Cergneux (186-2005) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Obras. Rocamora lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with five games lost. Rocamora will play next round against strong Obras trying to get back on the winning streak. Pacifico will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
