Regular Season Round 11: Concepcion - Talca 133-45

Rather expected game when 3rd placed Talca (3-5) was smashed on the road by leader Concepcion (7-0) 133-45 on Sunday. Concepcion dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Talca's 22. Concepcion forced 27 Talca turnovers and outrebounded them 53-25 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. Concepcion looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Talca's players. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Jerry Evans (203-1990, college: Nevada) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Venezuelan Carlos Milano (198) accounted for 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Five Concepcion players scored in double figures. American forward Jason Watts II (201, college: Lambton, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and forward Simon Davies (-2003) added 4 points respectively for Talca in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Concepcion have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record, which they share with Sportiva Italiana and Los Leones. Talca lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Concepcion will meet Aleman (#5) in the next round. Talca will have a break next round.
