LDD top team - Instituto (9-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Olimpico (3-4) in La Banda 86-64. Instituto dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpico's 24. It was a quality performance for Dominican Enmanuel Labata who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Kadir Pomare accounted for 20 points and 5 steals for the winning side. Five Instituto players scored in double figures. Guard Luciano Caceres (180-2001) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and guard Augusto Morales (185-2003) added 16 points respectively for Olimpico in the defeat. Olimpico's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Instituto have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-2 record. Olimpico at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. Instituto will play against Obras (#8) in Buenos Aires in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Olimpico will play at home against Regatas (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
