Regular Season Round 6: Frontera - Ceb Puerto Montt 83-58

There was no surprise in Temuco where 4th ranked Ceb Puerto Montt (3-5) was outplayed by second ranked Frontera (6-2) 83-58 on Sunday. Frontera dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Ceb Puerto Montt's 32. Frontera forced 24 Ceb Puerto Montt turnovers and outrebounded them 50-34 including 35 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Ceb Puerto Montt's players. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Daniela Troncoso (178-1987) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Constanza Riquelme (169-1998) chipped in 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Frontera players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Betsabe Nahuelhuaqui (173-2005) who recorded 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and the former international Pia Mayerovic (170-1995) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Ceb Puerto Montt's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Frontera have an impressive six-game winning streak.
