Regular Season Round 8: UniFacisa - Pato Basquete 89-79
Date: November 23, 2022
There was no surprise in Paraiba where 17th ranked Pato (1-8) was defeated by ninth ranked UNIFACISA (4-5) 89-79. Pato was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 30-18 charge of UNIFACISA, which allowed them to win the game. The former international Andre Bresolin (195-1987) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Panamanian-American point guard Trevor Gaskins (188-1989, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Four UNIFACISA players scored in double figures. UNIFACISA's coach Cesar Guidetti allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Venezuelan swingman Jose Materan (196-1996) replied with 24 points and 6 rebounds and Colombian guard Romario Roque (180-1998) added 19 points in the effort for Pato. Despite that victory UNIFACISA went down to tenth position due to points difference, which they share with Paulistano. Pato lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with eight games lost. UNIFACISA will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pato will play at home against Pinheiros (#6) to get more than just one victory in their record.
