Regular Season Round 15: GEPU - Dep Norte 102-69

There was no surprise in San Luis where 9th ranked Dep Norte (6-5) was crushed by fourth ranked GEPU (7-2) 102-69 on Thursday. GEPU dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Dep Norte's 32. GEPU forced 20 Dep Norte turnovers. It was a great shooting night for GEPU especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. It was a great evening for point guard Andres Lugli (188-1995) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Pablo Osores (194-1986) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five GEPU players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Franco Borsellino with 20 points and Lucas Nunez (200-1997) scored 11 points. Newly promoted GEPU maintains fourth place with 7-2 record which they share with defeated Dep Norte. Loser Dep Norte dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. GEPU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dep Norte will play against Jachal (#17) and hope to secure a win.
