There was an upset when higher ranked Aguada (4-4) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Urupan (2-5) 79-66 on Thursday. Urupan dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Aguada's 22. Urupan forced 20 Aguada turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian center Zygimantas Riauka (206-1993, college: UW-Parkside) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and American forward Eric Ferguson (203-1989, college: Georgia South) who added 20 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Urupan's coach Esteban Yaquinta used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Jordan Adams (196-1994, college: UCLA) responded with 18 points and Dominican center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. Urupan moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Hebraica and Urunday. Loser Aguada keeps the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Penarol. Urupan will meet league's leader Bigua in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
