Regular Season Round 8: Urunday - Bigua 77-86

Very expected game in Montevideo where 10th ranked Urunday (2-5) was defeated by second ranked Bigua (6-1) 86-77 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of American Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 5 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and the other American import Victor Rudd (206-1991, college: S.Florida) who added 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. American-Nigerian swingman Tanksley Efianayi (198-1994, college: UCF) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Brazilian center Hatila Passos (211-1985, college: NM State) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Urunday's coach Hector Da Pra rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bigua have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Urunday lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with five games lost. They share the position with Hebraica and Urupan. Bigua will meet at home Urupan (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Urunday's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Defensor.
