Regular Season Round 10: Penarol - Ferro 69-64

Very predictable result when ninth ranked Penarol (5-4) won against 14th ranked Ferro (5-7) in Mar del Plata 69-64 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Jose Defelippo (186-1997) notched 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Bruno Sansimoni (194-1996) supported him with 15 points and 5 assists. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. Even 27 points and 6 rebounds by swingman Lucas Gargallo (196-1995) did not help to save the game for Ferro. Point guard Tomas Spano (183-1998) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Penarol moved-up to eighth place. Ferro lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Penarol will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ferro will play against San Lorenzo (#15) and hope to secure a win.
