They also forced 19 L.Borges turnovers. American players dominated the game. Power forward Charles Thomas (202-1986, college: Arkansas) nailed 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and power forward Lee Roberts (203-1987, college: Findlay, OH) accounted for 14 points and 11 rebounds. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. Penarol's coach Pablo Lopez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Ricardo Glenn (203-1990, college: USC Upstate, agency: Interperformances) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Akia Pruitt (203-1997, college: UNCP) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for L.Borges in the defeat.
