The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Bigua (#1) and Nacional (#6). Nacional was defeated at home 83-93 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Bigua looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 23 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import Victor Rudd (206-1991, college: S.Florida) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American center Gary McGhee (210-1988, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Inception Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Juan Galletto (182-1996) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bigua (8-1) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Nacional at the other side keeps the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Aguada and Hebraica.
