There was an upset in Mar del Plata where higher ranked Penarol (5-5) was defeated by seventeenth ranked Riachuelo LR (3-6) 88-80 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mariano Fierro (200-1986) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and American Justin Jackson (203-1990, college: Cincinnati) who added 21 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Riachuelo LR's coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Al Thornton (203-1983, college: FSU, agency: BIG) with 21 points and 5 rebounds and American-Ivorian power forward Amadou Sidibe (203-1994, college: Fairfield, agency: Players Group) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds.
