The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Goes (8-3) in Montevideo on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by eighth ranked Nacional (6-4) 100-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Goes. Nacional looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for Federico Pereiras (190-1994) who led his team to a victory with 19 points. American Anthony Danridge (196-1986, college: N.Mexico) contributed with 17 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Nacional players scored in double figures. Forward Bernardo Barrera (200-1997) replied with 16 points and Joaquin Osimani (193-1987) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Goes. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nacional moved-up to third place, which they share with Hebraica. Goes at the other side still keep top position with three games lost. They share it with Bigua. Nacional's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena L.Borges.
