There was no surprise in Santiado del Estero where 12th ranked Riachuelo LR (3-8) was defeated by second ranked Quimsa (9-2) 44-32 on Sunday. Quimsa outrebounded Riachuelo LR 41-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was naturalized Colombian center Malvina DAgostino (184-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. Colombian guard Maria Delgado (173-1996, college: Angelo St.) chipped in 6 points and 10 rebounds. Natalia Gervasio produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and Florencia Ortiz added 5 points respectively for the guests. Quimsa have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-2 record behind leader Obras. Newly promoted Riachuelo LR stay at the bottom place with eight games lost. They share the position with Ferro Carril.
